Class 3 Turtle and Back Attacks

No warmups. Straight into it.

Part 1 - Front headlock control drill + RNC (XX:45)

Part 1.1: Basic seat-belt back control moving from side to side

  1. Establish back seatbelt and hooks

  2. Hold back leaning on the choke side

  3. Hold back leaning on the control side

Part 1.2: Finishing with rear naked choke

  1. Choke arm tight under the chin

  2. Release control hand and place over other hand

  3. Complete rear nake choke lock and squeeze to finish

Part 1.3: Sprawling to front head lock control

  1. Shoot in for double leg on knees and sprawl to get elbows on mat

  2. Establish front headlock control

Part 1.4: Front headlock multi directional control

  1. Shoot in for double leg on knees and sprawl to get elbows on mat

  2. Establish front headlock control

  3. Push forward + backward

  4. Circle left + right

Part 1.5: Pulling opponent into back control

  1. Starting from side back.

  2. Establish tight aligned seatbelt

  3. Pull back and establish hooks in

  4. Establish control on a side.

Part 1.6: Putting it altogether

  1. Opponent shoots / sprawls

  2. Move forward/backward/circle left/right

  3. Go behind

  4. Back control

  5. Rear naked choke

Situational:

Situational Option 1

  • Starting with one person hooks in back control

  • A-person has 20 seconds to defend choke and last (no need to escape. just hand fighting)

  • B-person has 20 seconds to get finish

Situational Option 2

  • Starting with front headlock control

  • A-person has to get hit go behind to bodylock

  • B-person has to get double leg
