Overview:
Class 8 Kimura Attack/Defence
Warmups: Knee tag up to 3. Loser does 5 squats. 1 min rounds and switch.
Part 1 - Side Kimura (XX:25)
Part 1.1: Side Kimura
Starting in side control with opponent with arms in pray position.
Control wrist and push hand to the mat.
Slide other hand under and grab own wrist.
Position hip over shoulder.
Step other foot above the head.
Elevate elbow by leaning back and looking over shoulder.

Keeping hand close to their body in step 2
Elbow / elbow alignment in step 3.
Blocking their head with leg in step 5.
Part 2 - Defending the Side Kimura (XX:42)
Part 2.1: Defending against grips (early).
Straighten arm to deny two on one grip.
Buck and turn on side to bring other arm in to break grip.
Returning to arms in pray position to frame.
Part 2.2: Using homer run to compromise their grip (late).
Starting with kimura locked (part 1, step 3)
Buck and bring other arm in to grab hand.
Run feet away in circular path to compromise their grip.
Finish in bottom side control with arms in pray position (in opposite side control)
* Part 2.3: Using homer run and finishing in closed guard.
Starting with kimura locked (part 1, step 3)
Buck and bring other arm in to grab hand.
Run feet away in circular path to compromise their grip.
Use legs to help break free.
Pull them into closed guard.
Situational:
Starting from side control with one hand already gripped on wrist.
A-person (bottom) has to avoid kimura and get to closed guard.
B-person (top) has to get 1) hand on the mat 2) kimura locked 3) leg stepped over. (no need to put on sub).
