Chapter 1: Who Am I?
1.2 My Life Story
In this exercise, you're going to think about and draw the key moments & experiences, events and people that have come into your life.
You'll think about things you've achieved and perhaps the things you didn't. The relationships you've made, the people you've loved (and pets! and the ones youve maybe lost. The times when you've been laughed at and the times you've laughed most. Those periods when you've felt most alone and those periods where you felt like you truly belonged. And finally those moments you felt truly alive.
You may not have taken much time in the past to really reflect on your life story, but it's an integral part of the journey to being able to answer the question - Who am I?'
Exercise 1.2
Make some time and fine a nice quiet place to write/draw your life story. Use a full page and make a timeline from the time you were born till now and highlight the key moments, events and people on your timeline. Make notes and be creative and try add little drawings and don’t worry about how it looks as this is only for you to see. The important thing is to reflect on all these key moments and note them down. You can also just make a bullet point list. But be creative and have fun with it.
After you’ve completed your timeline/drawing add it to your notebook under the heading “My Life Story”.
