Chapter 1: Who Am I?
1.4 Identifying My Not Enoughness
Up until this point, you've taken a birdseye view of what your life has been, the ups and downs, the good times and the bad. This next exercise is about redefining your life story and letting go of the 'not being enough', the times when you've unknowingly told yourself that I'm not enough'.
As you're now starting to realise, our brains are like velcro for thinking negatively and more often than not, we can accidentally link our self-worth to the conditions of our life.
The goal in this exercise is to identify your 'not enoughness' and let them go….. and in the process, reclaim your self-worth. Identifying and then reframing these stories can literally change your life forever.
Exercise 1.4
What are your “not enough” stories?
In your notebook under the heading of “My ‘not enough’ stories” write them all down in the form of “I was not ______ enough.” Write as many as you want.
